Christ Community Church, located in Clinton, MS, was built in 1979 and designed by the firm, Goodman and Mockbee. Samuel Mockbee was a famous architect who designed many small community buildings in rural towns across Mississippi and Alabama. The church features simple geometry moves to create the modern form. A simple metal rod shoots up on one end of the building to form the steeple. At the entrance, a brick wall towers up over the roof and houses a church bell within a void in the wall.
